Most schools have policies that govern the use of third-party services like Artsonia, such as collection of "media-release forms" from parents that give permission for faculty to post student information on websites, and compliance with annual notice requirements under the Family Educational Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Teachers must work with their administrator to determine if they have proper permission to submit student artwork to Artsonia.
Please note that Artsonia requires direct parental consent prior to making any artwork public AND prior to making any artwork available for purchase as a keepsake. Only the teacher logged in to their private teacher section, or students logged in through the school's class portal will be able to access any artwork until or unless the parent gives parental consent.
