A teacher or parent can request that a student account be deleted from the website by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Artsonia will first verify the requestor's identity and confirm that he/she understands that the student account and associated content (including artwork, comments, feedback and fan club members) will be deleted.
The teacher or parent will be given the opportunity to download all artwork images from the student's account prior to the deletion.
Once we receive confirmation, Artsonia will delete the student account and any associated content and personal information, including artwork, comments, feedback and fan club members tied to that student.
NOTE: If you are a parent whose child has not directly uploaded artwork or used the service (i.e. your child’s teacher has uploaded your child’s artwork directly to Artsonia and your child does not have access to use the service (e.g. through your parental consent)), due to FERPA and other state regulations, you may need to first make the request for deletion of any of your child’s artwork and feedback from your child’s teacher or school.
NOTE: Deleting a student account is different than Artsonia automatically removing personal information from an inactive student account.
