Once artwork is posted online, parents and relatives are encouraged to leave a positive comment for the artist. These comments are a great way to boost students’ self-confidence and self-esteem in their artistic ability. Please note that, unless a teacher is utilizing the comment feature in Classroom Mode, the comments are pre-approved by parents of the artist prior to posting publicly alongside the artwork and as a result the parent may choose not to post the comment. Additionally, the artist's parents may edit the content of the comment. If the comment is posted, it will appear publicly next to the artwork along with the first name provided during the comment process. Please do not provide any personal information (such as your first and last name, email address, etc.) within your comment.
To leave a comment, go to the student’s Artsonia gallery, select the desired artwork, then select the comment link, located to the right of the artwork.
Also, Artsonia does not allow anyone under 13 to leave a comment for an artist on the website unless the artist is leaving a comment within Classroom Mode.
NEW: Classroom Mode Student Comments: Artsonia has enabled students within Classroom Mode to leave comments to other student artists (in order to teach children about digital citizenship). Prior to being posted on the public Artsonia Website, these comments are then proofread by the student’s teacher and the teacher will confirm that there is no personal information contained within the student’s comment (or alternatively, they can edit and remove the personal information). Parents will also receive a notification that a new comment has been posted to their child's artwork.
